How did you get involved?

Working in Emergency Medicine I met many players and officials professionally who encouraged my involvement. That was 25 years ago and I am still as enthusiastic as ever.

Highlight of being involved in Rugby League?

All the friends I have made and the privilege of being part of a sport with wonderful comradeship and values. Through Rugby League I have travelled the world and had the chance to represent as a Doctor Great Britain and England.

How does your work in Rugby League help with your career?

It has given me significant confidence in communication and emphasised the importance of teamwork underpinning all success.

What would be your advice to anyone looking to get involved in Rugby League or sports medicine?

Grasp the opportunity, challenge yourself and aim high. Enjoy every moment and savour every experience and friendship.
